Reflection for Evolution

Evolution depends on understanding who we are beneath the surface and facades.  Understanding your fundamentals - what makes you, you - is crucial to defining and standing in power of your magic.

Everyone's intrinsic value is the fact that they are themselves, but social norms, people's expectations of us, and our surroundings can dilute that value. We can lose our magic. Could we discover our magic together? When we invest in ourselves, we’re able to bring our best to the world.  

In a sense, there is a subliminal message in the beginning of a new year, new month: to define your intentions, set your goals, and in some ways, erase the past. It is really a daily choice–do I stay stagnant or do I continue to evolve? 

Being aware of and accepting your magic is one of the keys to living a purpose-filled life. Let's take a moment to discover who we are. Set aside 15 minutes to focus on you. List five things that have made you who you are. Think of them as your building blocks. It may be an experience you had or a personality trait that sparks conversation. No need to overthink it, just write. Now, reflect on what you wrote down...do these building blocks reflect who you want to be? How do these building blocks manifest themselves in your daily life?

Reflection allows us to discover the patterns that make us who we are. There are no judgments or expectations, just gentle examination and introspection.
