Time for Gatherings & Gratitude

There is something special and magical in how summer brings about gatherings under the warmth of the sun, the light show in the sky, and the flowers in bloom. The conversations are filled with laughter, forging deeper connections as we share our stories and encourage each other to reach higher. We cherish these moments as we celebrate one another. While there is an element of simplicity in it all, there is also an element of profound impact for the soul. There is gratitude in coming back to what matters in this lifetime and reminding ourselves that time is precious.

In a recent online class through MindValley Academy, they spoke about gratitude and how it is a feeling. It is a joy that comes over you and touches the heart. As the instructor was speaking, it really made me think about gratitude, the practice of giving thanks, and the benefits of it all. He was right; the feeling of it all is magical, transformative, and impactful. It shifts our focus to the abundance around us, both material and non-material.

Last week, we hosted our first summer gathering in my garden, surrounded by our Mission and Movement community. We embraced the magic that gathering and gratitude create when we come together heart to heart. The vibrant blooming of the flowers amplified the beauty that surrounded us as our conversations centered around the impact we wanted to make in our lifetime. It was the perfect embodiment of gratitude and celebration. Together, we raised our glasses to toast the remarkable journey we've shared, the milestones achieved, and the unwavering support we offer one another, as well as the impact we are making globally. Most importantly, we talked about what was next, how we get there, and the roles we each play. Each person has a different journey, and the beauty in intentionally setting the event was to spark those dialogues, to have people leave hopeful, supported, and empowered for whatever their next step may be.

In reflection of the gathering, it was the "feeling" of gratitude that reminded us to embrace the present moment, find solace in the wonders that surround us, and recognize the importance of gathering with intention and purpose. Engaging in meaningful conversations, letting them be raw and from the heart, and knowing that we are enveloped in a blanket of love.

This cherished tradition grants us extra time to revel in the company of loved ones, pursue our passions, and immerse ourselves in the joys of summer. A picnic in the park or a hike through lush trails reminds us of the preciousness of life and all that we have to be thankful for.

As we continue to embrace the summer season, let us remember the power of gatherings and gratitude. Take a moment each day to appreciate the simple abundances in life, find solace in the beauty of nature, and make the most of those vacation days. By doing so, we cultivate a positive mindset and strengthen the bonds that unite us as the Mission and Movement community.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Together, let us spread gratitude like wildfire and inspire others to find joy in the present moment.
